Homecoming 2021

Homecoming+2021

Homecoming is the type of event that even if students do not like school, at least there is  a school dance to use as an excuse to get dressed up and hang out with friends to look forward to. Growing up I’ve heard from all kinds of people or students who wanted to be in high school for the dances, sports games, lunches that allow kids to leave and much more. The 2021 homecoming dance is coming soon and if a student has the opportunity to attend then…GO.

PHS homecoming this school year is on Saturday, October the 16th at 7-11pm. It will be held at Moore Mansion and due to the thing we all know and love, COVID-19 unvaccinated students will need a negative test to receive a homecoming ticket. However, fully vaccinated students will not need a negative test to receive a ticket, but will need proof of vaccination shown. Students can rapid test and show proof of vaccination 9-12 am on the 16th at Pasco high. Just like every year for dances, ASB and leadership decide on the theme. For this year’s theme it is Mask-Erade ball. So do not forget to bring one.

Another good thing about this year’s homecoming is that the ticket is free, which saves everyone some extra money. This just gives attendees one more reason to show up. While the dates are already spending money on what type of corsage they are going to get their girlfriend, or deciding which friend is paying for the appetizers at Applebees, and the girls spending all their money on getting ready for this one night, The free ticket is just another advantage.

The week before the dance PHS will be having a spirit week and homecoming game. The spirit week is starting October 11th and the themes include pajama day, country vs country club, pink day, throwback Thursday, and purple pride. Friday the 15th is the homecoming game at Edgar brown. Come to the game wearing all pink since it is a pink out game.

Freshman’s and sophomores are the classes I suggest the most to participate in these events. The first two years allow high schoolers to try new things outside and inside of school. If people are  choosing not to go or participate in these events because you think it is lame or weird, chances are they’re already achieving that by not being involved!
