• What were you like as a high schooler?

“I was in leadership and ASB, I did a couple of sports. I wasn’t necessarily a popular kid.”

• Favorite sport to watch? (favorite team)

“ Probably football, Seahawks fan although I grew up a Chargers fan because I grew up in southern California. Not interested since the move to Los Angeles.”

• Did you always want to be a teacher?

“ No I was actually going to be a cop, and I got into a program that was for people that wanted to be in law enforcement, my local police department when I was in high school and college. I think doing that made me realize it wasn’t for me, and this was another avenue that I was interested in but I just hadn’t put all that effort into it.”

• What is your dream vacation?

“I’d like to go to Europe someday, I’ve never been to Europe. England, France somewhere like that.”

• If you could sit down and talk to your high school self, what would you tell them? (any advice)

“ Oh, so much advice. Just be true to yourself, don’t worry about what other people think just do what is best for you.”

• Favorite genre of music?(key artists)

“ I grew up in the 90s, so a lot of rock and alternative rock, Pearl Jam is one of my all-time favorites. But as an older person now I do like country music too, there’s a guy named Tyler Childers.”

• Who do you live with at home?

“ We are a family of 3, me my wife, and my son. We have 2 dogs, Basie and Pepper.”

• How do you keep the beard so pristine?

“ Well there’s a lot of product, some shampoos some moisturizer and then you got to trim and keep it from getting too raggedy, so trim every couple weeks. Some TLC you know.”
