Do you know what your plans after high school are? Like myself, there are many seniors at Pasco High School who aren’t sure what they want to do after graduation, and many often just need some motivation and inspiration to get an idea of what they might plan on doing. I interviewed many senior students at Pasco High School to learn about what their plans after high school were, and here is what they had to say.
Valentina Peralta
Valentina is currently a senior at Pasco High School, after graduation Valentina plans on traveling all summer long, after that long-awaited break she is going to apply at either UW or Seattle University. Her goal is to get her bachelor’s in sociology or political science, and after achieving that she plans to go to law school at U.W. Beyond that she plans to get into an immigration lawyer program and become a lawyer. She then would like to continue to practice at either Washington or go to California and continue there. Here is some advice from Valentina! ‘’Higher education is always important to keep in mind, whether you go to community college or 4-year university.’’
Zammira Gomez
Zammira is currently a senior at Pasco High School after graduation and after she turns 18, she is planning on applying at a union trade and starting an apprenticeship to become an electrician. After she is able to get into the trading school, she plans to apply to a local electrical company to further her knowledge in the field. She hopes to become an electrician.
Ashley Rosales
Ashley is a senior and is currently taking classes at both CBC and Pasco High School. She is taking college classes in high school to work on her prerequisites for college while finishing the rest of her high school credits. Once she has graduated high school, she will be attending CBC for two years finishing the rest of her prerequisites for a dental hygiene program. After completing all these things, she will work as a dental hygienist.
Vivianna Castro
Vivianna who is currently a senior at Pasco High School first plans to travel around the world for 3 months during the summer after graduating from high school. After having done this, she plans to attend college at Eastern and study hard to be able to receive her bachelor’s in nursing. After this, she will come back to the tri-cities and get a job, while also taking classes for pediatric nursing. She hopes to get a job in the medical field, specifically pediatrics. Here is some great advice from Vivianna, “Have fun, but remember to stay focused!”
Ninnel Paz
Ninnel is currently a senior at Pasco High School, and after graduation, the very first thing she plans on doing is taking a gap year to go live with her mom in Mexico. She plans to take the gap year because she does not want to jump straight into college while unsure of what career path she wants to take. During her gap year, she will be taking cosmetology courses to get a cosmetology certificate, to get a job as a hairstylist. She then plans to come back to the U.S find a job and save up money to either go to college or open up her own business. Here is what Ninnel had to say, “College isn’t for me at the moment, but It could be in the future. For now, I am keeping my options open.”
Eziah Navarro
Ezaiah is currently a senior at Pasco High School and after graduating he plans to go to CBC. Ezaiah then hopes to be able to receive his bachelor’s in business. After meeting his goals, he plans to start his own company as a real estate agent.
