Ever heard of the Seminary Building at Pasco High School!? What about Free Tacos for Pasco students just across the street?
The smell of sizzling taco meat and the sound of excited chatter are just around the corner, Pasco High students. Get ready for one of the tastiest traditions of the school year. The 4th Annual Taco Feed, hosted by the Pasco Seminary class of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is set for Friday, May 9, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be another delicious hit.
Held just across the street from the school at 1038 W Henry St., this free event is open to all Pasco High students and staff. With tacos, toppings, chips, salsa, and soda all on the menu, it’s the perfect way to spice up your lunch break.
But this isn’t just about food, it’s about community, connection, and celebrating a tradition that’s been growing stronger (and tastier) every year.
A Tradition That Sticks
Launched in 2022, the taco feed began to bring students together in a fun, welcoming environment. From the beginning, the event was a smash hit, with about 300 students showing up each year to grab a plate and hang out.
Each year, the Seminary building is transformed into a mini taco oasis. With upbeat music, cheerful volunteers, and a line around the building, it’s become a can’t-miss moment of the school year.
Brother Esplin: The Legend Behind the Feed
Of course, no taco feed would be complete without a shout-out to the one and only Brother Esplin. Brother Esplin is the heart and soul of the Seminary program, known for his laid-back attitude, constant grin, and signature stash of Hi-Chews.
“Brother Esplin is honestly the GOAT,” said Andrew Vazquez. “He always takes time to talk to us. Who else do you know that hands out Hi-Chews like a candy wizard?”
Brother Esplin and a team of Seminary students and volunteers organize the entire event, from setting up tables to serving food. And even as the taco line grows, he never loses his cool.
Looking Ahead: May 9th Is Almost Here.
This year’s feed is expected to be the biggest yet. With more awareness, returning fans, and that irresistible combo of tacos and good vibes, the Seminary team is preparing for another record-breaking turnout.
So mark your calendars, tell your friends, and prepare to feast. Whether you’re a taco veteran or a first-time attendee, this event promises food, fun, and a sense of community long after the salsa’s gone.
Remember, it’s free, it’s fun, and it’s for YOU. So come hungry, bring your lunch crew, and join the growing tradition.
