I will be reviewing a local coffee shop, Sweet Sips by Jami, to learn why she started her business, what she offers, and her goals. She sells her drinks from home, so I will go and pick up my drink, review it, and then ask her some questions.
After researching, I discovered she sells coffee, Red Bull, Boba, and lemonades in many different variations. You can get them iced or blended, or on the Red Bulls, you can add a splash of cream. She also has various syrups so that you can have a variety of drinks. You can customize your drinks as much as you want, as long as she has the products to make them.
I interviewed the owner, Jami, and asked her about her business.
Do you plan on expanding your menu to other things besides drinks?
“Yes, I plan to expand my menu within the next year. I plan on adding snacks, maybe croissants, baked goods, sweet treats like cake pops, and chocolate-covered strawberries. That’s the plan.”
Where do you see your business in the future?
“I see my business opening a cute shop, hopefully here in Pasco, and if it goes well, another one in Kennewick. I also hope to have many workers gladly working in my business.”
Do you plan on adding other types of drinks?
“Yes, I plan on adding more drinks, and I’ve actually already thought about it: drinks like a horchata latte, pistachio latte, lotus latte, kiwi boba, and matcha.”
I also asked a follow-up question: Do you plan on adding other drinks like refreshers? “Yes, let’s hope that I can create a better recipe than other places that I know people will enjoy, since summer is coming up, all people would like to drink are chilled and refreshing drinks.
What was your motive for starting your business?
“The motive to start my business was when I was little. I’ve always seen myself as a businesswoman. I’ve always had a passion for making drinks, especially coffee, and since then, that’s when I decided I wanted to expand my menu and add energy drinks, lemonades, and boba, since I know it’s something people really enjoy, and honestly, my family and friends have helped support my little idea to become a reality.

This is one of her drinks. I tried it, it’s called a lechera latte with lechera cold foam and caramel drizzle. This is a 24 oz. drink, and it was $6, it had caramel drizzle, and the drink was lechera flavored, which is condensed milk. It had a good flavor and was sweet but not too sweet, so that it doesn’t overpower the coffee, and you could still taste it. I rate it a good 9.5/10; it was almost perfect. I loved the flavor, the cold foam was perfect, and I finished it in 1 minute. I would definitely buy it again! Since she started just a month ago, she has a wide variety of drinks and maybe other things in the future.
