In a small corner in Pasco, just a few blocks from Pasco High, at 708 N 10th Ave, there is a delicious pizza spot that has been serving locals for over 13 years. Excalibur Pizza (formerly known as Pizza King) is a family-owned restaurant near Pasco High, known for its quality toppings, massive fresh pizzas, and warm, inviting atmosphere. Today I went to this place to really see if it’s worth the hype or not, and here are my thoughts.
Pricing & What I Got
One thing I found remarkable about Excalibur was their pricing, which was surprisingly affordable given the quality of food and service. When I went and got a medium pepperoni pizza with four ranches and it only came out to $12.43! That amazed me because for only 12 bucks, I fed four of my friends. On top of that, their other menu items, including breadsticks, wings, and beverages, are similarly priced. The pizza I got was very hot, with delicious, gooey cheese and a crispy crust, and it was very enjoyable. Below is a picture of what I ordered.
Atmosphere & Vibe
When I first entered Excalibur Pizza, the first thing I was wrapped in was the delicious smell of freshly made pizzas in the back. There was also a warm coziness to the place, with classic-style tables, walls, floors, and paintings surrounding you in a nostalgic vibe. They even had a TV for entertainment while enjoying their food. The layout of the place is compact, yet functional. With a couple of booths and a couple of larger tables in the middle, they can accommodate friend groups, families, and small gatherings.
Menu Highlights & Fan Favorites
While I was ordering my food, I asked the cashier what the most popular items are, and he said people often come in for pepperoni, supreme, and calzone pizzas. He also said their largest size, the “Emperor Pizza,” is one of their most iconic menu items. I also asked a couple of the customers inside what their favorite menu items were. Macario Sanchez said, “My family always gets a supreme emperor pizza when all my family gets together.”
Another customer, Aiden Valencia, said, “Excalibur got the best pies in town, but besides pizzas, they also have fire calzones, ribs, wings, and breadsticks.” Below are some pictures of those favorite items.
Quality & Service
One of the standout features of Excalibur is the quality of its fresh ingredients. Many people can vouch for this quality, like customer Macario Sanchez, saying the ingredients on his family’s supreme pizzas always taste bold and fresh. Some fresh toppings they offer include pepperoni, sausage, beef, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and olives, to name a few.
Another thing I noticed was the quick yet high-quality service I got. The cashier was very respectful, double-checked my order to make sure it was right, and also gave me recommendations when I asked.
Conclusion
All in all, if you’re seeking a delicious pizza experience in the Tri-Cities, Excalibur Pizza is a must-visit. Whether you’re dining in or eating out, Excalibur promises to get you right every time! Now, if you’re ever craving some hot and fresh pizza after school as a Pasco High student, you know where to go!
