The CTE classes that we have to offer. We have so many CTE classes that other schools don’t have to offer that kids from Chiawana and Sageveiw have to come over here just to take classes that they don’t offer at their home high school.
The amount of diversity the school has. I know that most schools are diverse, but to me PHS is the most diverse school in Tri-Cities. Including the teachers, staff, and of course the students. We have so many resources to help students with whatever they need.
The schools resources. We have so many resources that a lot of students and parents don’t even know about. Honestly I think some of them should be talked about more like the Career and College center in room 173A across from student services, or that counselling is available for students.
The school spirit in the teachers/staff. No matter what if we win or lose a lot of the teachers here still represent the schools spirit/pride. This is something that students lack being here, I get it we barely ever win a game and if we do everyone always says we only won because it was against a team that “sucks” which may be true sometimes but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t represent the school we go to.
Goose. Yes I mean the dog Goose, that you can find in the library or somewhere around the school with a staff member with him of course. If Pasco High could change their mascot I would want it to be Goose (Of course I’m just playing around) seriously though Goose is a really good dog.
Unashamed club. I absolutely love that PHS has allowed Hungry Generation to have their Unashamed club here at PHS. This club is to spread the Gospel into schools just how it is intended to spread the Gospel all around us. I think this club has helped out in so many ways with letting students know they aren’t alone, that the higher power is with them no matter if they are religious or not.
Friends. There’s nothing like having a bad day/morning and having your friends cheer you up, sometimes without even meaning to. I know that most students here have their own little friend groups or people they prefer to be around, I think it’s really important to have people like that in your life. Just because you have your preferred people doesn’t mean you shouldn’t step out of your comfort zone and talk to someone new, you might actually learn something new from them.
The nachos. I know this might sound big back of me, but man the nachos here at school are some of the best nachos I have ever had (Okay maybe not some of the best I have ever had) but their still really good, at least the best that the school has to offer.
Clubs. I know that I already mentioned Unashamed club, but there are so many other cool ones like FFA, Spike squad, photography, ski club, and so many more. Guys seriously if you feel like you have to much free time and want something to do we have a lot of clubs, you just have to look for them and ask around to see if you can join any.
The school store. Honestly I think the school store was an amazing idea. Don’t get me wrong I wish the Red Bulls weren’t sugar free, but a sugar free Red Bull is still a Red Bull. Okay besides energy drinks they also have smoothies, coffee, chips, and gum. Now the gum thing is super smart I feel like almost every student here has gum in their bag.
