Pasco High School is hosting an event called “Trunk or Treat,” where everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. The event will feature people in costumes, candy, a haunted house, and decorated cars.
Let’s hear from some of the DECA house students. Amy, a PHS interviewer, asked Gabriela G a few questions:
**Amy H:** “Will you be participating in the Trunk or Treat?”
**Gabriela G:** “Yes, I am going to be attending and helping with the setup.”
**Amy H:** “Are you excited for the Trunk or Treat?”
**Gabriela G:** “Hmm, not really.”
**Amy H:** “What are you expecting from the Trunk or Treat event?”
**Gabriela G:** “To be honest, not much. Just to have fun.”
Gabriela was very honest with her answers, and that’s perfectly fine if she isn’t excited. Maybe it’s just not her thing.
Next, let’s hear from Perla Soto, who was asked the same questions:
**Amy H:** “Will you be participating in the Trunk or Treat?”
**Perla S:** “Yes, I will! I am also going to be scaring people in the maze, and I’m excited.”
**Amy H:** “Are you excited about the Trunk or Treat?”
**Perla S:** “Yes, because I’m going to get to scream at people!”
**Amy H:** “What are you expecting from the Trunk or Treat?”
**Perla S:** “To get some candy…”
There we have it from the two DECA students who are working with Mr. Trevino to organize the event. Now, let’s hear from Mr. Trevino himself.
Mr. Trevino is the teacher primarily responsible for organizing Trunk or Treat with the help of his students. I will ask him a few questions that will give us more details about the event:
**Amy H:** “What details can you share about the Trunk or Treat?”
**Mr. Trevino:** “It’s going to be next week on Thursday, the 23rd. We will be in front of the tennis courts, where various clubs will be decorating their cars. This is usually a competition every year. Community members will come in and go from car to car, where they can hand out candy and participate in different activities. Last year, we had a club that set up a photo display for taking pictures, and the kids had a lot of fun with that. We also have a haunted house inside the building in the AC gym. It’s not overly scary; it just gives you that haunted house vibe, but you get candy in there as well. Students will be able to participate in this, too. It’s all student-run, and it’s really cool because the community can come through and celebrate with the students while enjoying candy and fun activities. The event starts at 5 PM and ends at 6:30 PM.”
So yes, come by and bring your family—little siblings, cousins, nieces—and celebrate Halloween with Pasco High School! As Mr. Trevino mentioned, it is all run by students, and you can even participate by decorating cars and handing out candy.
