Starting Anime For Beginners

The world of manga and anime is always growing and getting better. Over the course of the 2010’s, it has grown and accumulated millions of fans that have come to love this form of entertainment and all it’s little quirks. With anime growing more and more in the mainstream, more pop culture fans are looking for entry-level series that are short, high quality, and easy to follow along. With those things in mind I will give you a few anime that are beginner-friendly, with a wide variety of genres such as action, romance, drama, comedy, and many more.

If you enjoy shows with a lot of action and comedy, then My Hero Academia could be a good show for you. It is quickly becoming one of the most popular anime in recent years, with its previous season five ending. The series is set in a world in which superpowers, or “quirks” as the anime refers to them, are given to around 80% of the population at birth. This eventually leads to a big hero and villain society. The series follows a young man named Izuku Midoriya, who is born without a quirk, he follows his idol All Might all his life and admires him. He eventually makes it into UA, a school for heroes in training, and makes many friends along the way. It’s a great story with lovable characters, and exciting adventures.

A perfect beginner anime due to its closed and compelling story. Death Note follows Yagami Light, a high school student who eventually finds a death note. This book gives Light the power to kill anyone whose name he writes in the book. Light uses this power to enact vigilante justice. His actions eventually bring him into conflict with a detective known as L, leading to a compelling game of cat and mouse between the two characters. It’s a very intriguing story that’ll get you hooked the first episode.

If you enjoy action packed shows filled with intense fights and a more graphic plot, then Attack on Titan is a great show for you. The series is set in a world in which humanity is forced to hide in a walled city, in order to protect themselves from the giant titans. Titans are human-like giants that love to feed on humans. The series has some of the most compelling mysteries and intense anime action scenes of the past few years, proving that it can hook any new anime fans.

These three anime shows are perfect for people who want to get into anime but just aren’t sure where to start. Each show has a different variety of comedy, mystery, action, and lots more. They are very enjoyable and are sure to get you interested in more.
