Some things that teachers wish you knew are that they do care and want you to graduate and pass their class. I asked Ms. Edward, “What’s one thing you wish every student understood about your job as a teacher?” She said, “I just want everyone to graduate; that’s my goal.”
She always cares about her students and loves to help them when they are actively participating in the subject. Ms. Edward also works in the bilingual department and helps students be placed in the right classes. I asked, “What’s something students do that makes your day better? ” When students bring me fruit cups,” Ms. Edward replied, laughing, but also included,” When students ask me about my day,” she likes it when people show they care about her.
I also interviewed Mr. Murguia i asked, What do students often misunderstand about your expectations?,” he said,” they miss understand how strict I am I don’t want anyone getting hurt I want a good safe environment for them to learn,” he’s not trying to be strict about the rules but he wants to keep everyone safe. Another question was What kind of work do you do outside of class that students might not realize?, he thought and replied,”I spend a lot of time looking for people to bring in there cars. Lots of calls and text messages trying to get them to bring it in. I have problems securing them because they are available at 7. I can’t call students in after school hours’ he spends time to get jobs for students to learn about in class new experiences on different cars.
All teachers dedicate time outside of the classroom to prepare lessons and activities that will help their students succeed. Their goal is to support you, guide you, and help you graduate on time. Even when it might feel like a teacher is being hard on you or giving you a tough time. it’s important to remember that they are not trying to make you do more work they’re trying to make you do your best.
