Pasco Aquatic Center
Summer has barely begun, yet Pasco already has a new spot drawing attention. Opening June 27th at 5204 Road 108, the Pasco Aquatic Center mixes indoor and outdoor fun meant for nearly every age. Little ones dive into hands-on splash zones instead of just watching. Meanwhile, high-energy visitors can race down twin 30-foot slides that snake out and around the structure before plunging inside again. A climbing wall dumps adventurers into deeper water while others test balance on a ninja-style challenge course. Slower moments happen along the winding lazy river, in warm bubbling tubs shared by families, or under sheltered cabanas where parents relax near playing children. Entry costs ten dollars per child, twelve per adult. Opening day brings both tours, and the chance to book your spot.
Powerhouse Comic Con
Comic lovers, film buffs, anime watchers, gamers…this August has a big moment waiting. Set for August 15th and 16th, the Tri-Cities Powerhouse Comic Con lands at the HAPO Center in Pasco, doors open 10:00 AM each day until 5:00 PM. Step inside, find every corner of pop culture mixed into one place. Spot familiar faces from screen roles, watch artists draw live, chat with creators while checking out booths stacked with odd finds and hand-made art. Panels run all afternoon. Dress up if you like. Old-school fans flip through stacks hunting single issues they lost years ago. Others just wander, eyes wide, taking it in. Grab passes now, unless standing in line later sounds fun. With how much fits into these two days, showing up empty-handed feels risky.
CrawFest
This summer brings something out of the ordinary when CrawFest sets up shop along the Columbia River to deliver a real-deal crawfish boil. Held on Saturday, September 12th, Osprey Pointe in Pasco becomes a lively hub of Cajun culture between 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Expect steamed crawdads, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage prepared just like they do it back in Louisiana. Full meal trays go for $45 each, sized right for two or maybe even three diners, turning a casual stop into a shared experience without straining the wallet. Music plays throughout the day while guests can wander past local sellers, grab food from food trucks, and sip drinks from the beer and wine zone. You can bring chairs from home, a blanket, or even a small tent and sit right beside the river. Into its eighth year now, CrawFest keeps drawing folks back each time.
