Top 3 best gyms in the Tri-Cities!!

Are you considering starting your gym journey and not knowing where to start?

Going to the gym for the first time may be intimidating, especially if you’re a new member.

Here in the Tri-Cities, we have quite a few options. One of these will be perfect for you.

#1 Golds Gym

Gold’s Gym Has a very welcoming environment, on the little more pricey side of gym but with a lot of equipment and extras. The people who go there always have good things to say about it. Some teens start off there.

Gold’s Gym is just amazing, it has good deals and excellent equipment and extras. The amenities it has are personal trainers, Basketball courts, Pools, women-only workout areas, Boxing areas, kids club, and more. I personally think it is a great gym because you get your money’s worth with tons of equipment, a lot of space, and very chill people you can meet. I like the boxing area is super fun to do after a good workout. Everything about it is just 10/10. The perk about it is that is always full and workouts take like 2 hours or more to complete. Other than that, the memberships can be very pricey as the annual fee is $35 a month and $0 to enroll. Month to Month roll has a $69 fee to enroll and is $45 monthly. Six months paid in full is $300 with no start up fee. These memberships allow you to use anything in the gym. I believe it is a very good gym. Don’t feel discouraged to enter! Everyone starts somewhere and no one will judge you because we all have been there.

#2 Planet Fitness

Planet Fitness is for new people looking to start their gym journey on the more affordable side. Planet Fitness has all the equipment needed and a few extras. This is a great alternative to Golds Gym. It has very good reviews and is a very good, comfortable start point for teens.

Kevin S is a member there and has been going for almost 2 years. Here’s what he has to say, “It’s a good gym to start a gym journey because the employees are so helpful, and they provide trainers and tips on how to use the equipment. There are endless possibilities of making friendships because everyone is so welcoming. Plus, the memberships are so cheap.”

Another student has been going for almost 3 years. His name is Gustavo E and he says, “Going to planet fitness is a good option for a new weight lifter and it’s pretty good for its monthly price”

He is absolutely correct, there are two types of memberships they provide with amazing deals.  Starting with a classic card is $10 a month, a start-up fee of $59 and a fee of $49 a year. The black card is $24 a month with a start up fee $5 and a fee of $49 a year. The black card allows you to bring a guest, go to any planet fitness, use tanning beds, use massage chairs, and get a lot of discounts on their drinks they provide and more. I think it is a good start up gym to get a good workout in and is on the affordable side.

#3 Life Quest

This gym is more on the “Luxury” side as it is very expensive. This gym is more for family memberships. It can accommodate large families looking to start together and it has very fun activities. I know a couple of students that go there with their families.

Jair E’s family has been going to Life Quest for almost a year. He said, “It’s very expensive but there’s just so much I think it’s worth the price, especially for like a family. But if it’s just for yourself, I think it is better to go to another gym. It is basically the same just with like a lot of extras.” He later stated, “The workers will always accommodate and you’ll only see a lot of adults.”

Life Quest has a lot of activities and so much you can do starting at the price of $50 a month and going up to $170 with a $10 dollar registration. That comes with :

  • Les Mills virtual classes
  • Full Access To The Gym
  • Indoor Basketball Courts
  • Indoor Soccer Fields
  • SPA/SAUNA
  • Pools/Hot Tub
  • Kids club
  • Preteen Center
  • Day use lockers
  • Women’s Zoneand more!!!

Don’t feel pressured or discouraged if it doesn’t feel right.  Everyone starts somewhere so just push through because your future self will thank you. May you be blessed with a lovely gym journey.
