Review on Five Nights at Freddy’s movie

Review+on+Five+Nights+at+Freddys+movie

Over the past nine years fans of Five Nights at Freddy’s have always wanted a movie adaptation of the game. On October 27th the movie was finally released and there are many mixed reviews about it. When asked if the movie was worth waiting for Jazmin Santoyo says,

“In my own opinion, it was not worth waiting nine years for the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, it didn’t live up to my expectations of it from the games.”

I completely agree with her and think that there are lots of things the movie could’ve done differently. Many fans of this franchise hoped that the movie had an accurate storyline that was similar to the games, but Jazmin Santoyo says,

“The movie has bits and pieces that are accurate to the storyline of the games, however much of it was changed and modernized for the film.”

I once again agree with her and I’m very disappointed that the movie wasn’t as accurate as everyone hoped it would be.  Many people had high expectations considering that they waited nine years for a movie adaptation of the games. According to Adriana Castro,

“The movie did not meet my expectations. For how overhyped the movie was, I was expecting way more, considering how well previous childhood adaptation movies like the Mario movie and the Barbie movie did this year.”

There were a lot of interesting options that the writers chose for the movie and, according to Adriana Castro, there are some things she would change about the movie.

“The few things that I would change about the movie is adding more spooky and eerie elements, especially for the animatronics. They barely did any of the killings of their own, even though the whole point of the games were that the animatronics were the ones who would endanger the player.”

I believe that the Five Night’s at Freddy’s movie was not worth waiting nine years for and the writers could’ve written a better storyline that is actually accurate to the games.
