Tuesday, April 28th, Pasco played against Sageview for the first time ever in a soccer match and were able to get the win with the score being 6:0 and are now 7-1 in the league. Four players scored and two of them were able to score twice, Edwar Montano and Miguel Leo. Edwin Magallon also scored once along with Agustine Guerro.
After the game, three players from Pasco High Angel Cabana, Juanelo Mendoza, and Luis Cabrera were asked about their thoughts about how they felt before and after the game
Angel said that before the game he was hoping that they were going to be able to end the game without being scored on.
“I was hoping we kept that clean sheet and for everyone to do the best we could,” he said. After the game he added, “I was just happy that everyone was able to play they could and happy because of the score.”
Juanelo said that before the game he thought that it was going to be a easy game, and despite struggles they were able to get the win.
“I thought it was going to be a easy game, but then after we struggled a little, but I mean we got the win so that’s all that matters.”
Luis said that before the game he felt a little bit nervous.
“Before the game against Sageview, I felt a little nervous but mostly focused and ready to compete. I was thinking about doing my job, helping my team, and starting strong so we could set the tone early,” he said. After the game he said that he was really proud of his team.
“After the game against Sageview, I felt really proud of our team for getting the win. We worked hard, stayed focused, and played together the whole game. It felt good to see our effort pay off, and it motivated me to keep improving for the next game.”
This shows that even though some players might have different thoughts about the game before and after, they were all happy at the end of the day because they were able to come home with a massive win to show that they are still going to be a hard team to beat.
