Here is a list of all the LGBTQ+ books in the Pasco High Library. This is a growing list and it’ll continue to expand as more books come into the library. In addition to the alphabetical “master list,” there are smaller lists that organize these books by genre and year published.

To find something specific, press Ctrl+F on your laptop keyboard and search (Ex. “trans mc” or “wlw”).

While this list can be helpful, it’s important to note it’s faults. This is the first known attempt to organize and document all the LGBTQ+ books, and it’s an effort run mostly by a single person, so there are numerous gaps in information.

There’s also no way to measure representation as enough to be included. This means the rep ranges from main characters with stories about queerness, to side characters who’s queerness is labelled as a problem for the main character. Not all of these books have queer joy.

If you’re trying to use this list for recommendations, I advise you to do a quick search on goodreads or talking to a librarian at PHS.
