How long have you been working here?

This is my second year. The end of this year will be the end of my second full year.

How has your experience been with students and staff members?

It’s been a work in progress, but I’ve had really positive experiences so far. I try to maintain respect across the board, and live by the golden rule of treat people how you want to be treated.

What has been your favorite thing about working here and where did you work before?

I worked in accounting and finance before for 10 years, and so I came directly from working industry to teaching. I do have a degree in communications with a minor in business but I am also working on my masters. I got my initial CTE certification to allow me to teach my classes.

What are some of your hobbies?

I’ve got some hardcore grandma hobbies. I enjoy gardening, reading (audiobooks), I love napping. I love taking walks and I have a book club with some friends. I haven’t picked up crocheting yet though.

What would be your dream vacation?

A month and half in Europe, going all over. I would like to go to Germany, see Vienna, Paris. I would love to go to the UK. I would LOVE to visit the French countryside, Ireland, and Scotland. I would love to go to so many different things and Europe has the opportunity to because all of it is connected… Mostly. Next year me and my husband may go on a Mediterranean cruise to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.

How many people are in your family?

It’s me and my husband and our 3 daughters. My daughters names are Ellie (12), Lenny (7), and Maggie (5). They all ice skate, are funny and smart. I’m the youngest of 15 in my family, I have 9 sisters and 5 brothers.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I do! I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I really like human names on my animals, and so Lewis Newman and Kevin are my two dogs and my three cats names are Thomas, Eva, and Randall. Randall is really fat, and amazing.
